Update on Endangering Lives Post

My Miss wanted an update from our staff meeting we had regarding the lock down drill. Still at the point of the meeting I was feeling so guilty about it & really beating myself up for being so innocent! At the meeting our officer talked to us awhile & then our principal opened it up for discussion. I think I started scooting down in my seat. I could feel & hear my heart beating! Anyway-no one called me out for what I did (lol). Another teacher volunteered what she did (she's so brave). She said someone knocked at her door & it was a very polite knock ("YES!" I was thinking, "it was polite! I was tricked!") & she ignored it ("great - she was smart about it," I thought). Well, she said they knocked again & she peeled back the paper from her window on her door & saw it was a police officer. So she cracked open the door & the P.O. told her to NEVER open the door, no matter who it is, no matter if you know who it is or not. YES!!! So that made me feel better. Anyway-I'm almost positive the next time we have a drill (because of course I pray it never REALLY happens) I will know exactly what to do.

The end.
