Where do you begin, when starting a 100 list? Of course to me, Lindley is the blogging expert so I am copying what she did. I was glad to read that my other friend Mary has started one for herself as well! I must point out that these are in no specific order, just the order of how they came to my mind.

1. I love reality TV. I love the drama. I love watching people, such as on Big Brother, where they strategize with other members to get ahead. I love reality TV with no prize in the end, such as The Hills (yes, loosely ‘reality’) or The Real World-but simply watching pretty rich people driving around, living life, dining wherever, working a little, hanging with friends, shopping, etc. I know I could never be on reality TV, for a few reasons. One: I’m too boring. Two: I would not want family members see me being an idiot on national TV under the influence of alcohol. I also know I’d never win Big Brother because I’m too gullible & believe what others tell me. My counselor Melissa tells me this is b/c I wasn’t lied to as a child. Good job to my parents! J

2. Number 1 was really long – shouldn’t that count as 1 AND 2??? J I have test anxiety right now.

3. Anyone who knows me knows that I love to be lazy. Just this summer I have realized that while yes, this is true, I also must get out of the house often. No longer can I stay inside for 2 or more days straight. I admitted to Mr. L the other day that I was grumpy & I know it was b/c I just needed out. Wow – I must be getting more active & not as lazy!!! (yeah right…)

4. As much as I complain about how much money I DON’T make being a teacher, I do love my job. I like being around 7th graders, joking around with them & also teaching them reading skills along with life lessons. Yes it is hard at times & stressful, but I do always feel rewarded from my job.

5. Much like Lindley, if I get hungry &/or hot, I get grumpy. I also get very panicky & feel those situations need to be taken care of ASAP.

6. Referring to #5, however, I love hot weather. It is one of the reasons I love Las Vegas. “Vacation” to me is lounging around a pool & having margaritas brought to you as you bask in the sun with palm trees in view. Feeling cold is not fun to me at all!!! (Not to mention it gives you goose bumps & makes your leg hairs grow). L

7. I have adopted 1 pet since moving out of my parent’s house. As you all know, her name is the Chlo-Meister & I love her to death. Seriously – I just don’t think there is a cuter cat or sweeter cat. Ok – she isn’t sweet to anyone but me, but that is all that matters. What is sweeter than waking up in the middle of the night & having your cat sleeping on your chest as you are petting her in your sleep? Awww….

8. I love using ellipses…

9. I don’t like trying new things. Stepping out of my comfort zone, my box, is soooo scary to me. It has annoyed every guy I’ve ever dated, but I must give myself credit & say I have come a long way & will try certain things once. I mean, I don’t plan to go sky diving or anything, but you get my point.

10. I can now say I like some fish (salmon). Yes, Yong has helped me try sushi (read #9 above) & it is ok, but in the year of 2007 on more than 1 occasion I have ordered salmon at restaurants & have LIKED it! To all you seafood lovers out there, I know you are rolling your eyes, but it is a big deal for me! J

11. I like to cook. My problem is I sometimes get stuck in a rut & don’t know WHAT to cook. I’m not creative enough to see what I have in my kitchen & to work with that. I like to cut things now that I have an official Rachael Ray knife. Wow that thing is dangerous!

12. I know it is ok to be on a low-fat diet & not really give up too much of my favorite foods. For those that don’t know, I had really high cholesterol & basically my Dr. gave me 3 months to get it down, or I was going on medication! So – I now only eat fast food 1 (maybe 2 at most, but not usually) time a week, buy baked chips, drink skim milk, etc. The hardest thing for me still is the whole wheat bread. I just don’t like it! I like white bread – but I let myself have a ‘treat’ with white bread with every 4th or so loaf I buy. (That’s fair, right?)

13. Yoga is fun! I love it & look forward to it! It is exercise I like b/c it isn’t cardio (too bad, b/c of my issues in #12).

14. If I flex my stomach, you can see a faint outline of my ab muscles, thanks to Yoga!

15. I love to take pictures. Out of my friends in college, I was always the one with the camera & always the one worried about getting the film developed (yes, this was before digital camera days. Wow I feel old).

16. I don’t like getting pedicures. Too bad – if you’ve seen the pic of what my feet looked like after 1 day of walking in Vegas.

17. I bought a Louis Vuitton purse in Vegas. I’m so scared someone is going to spill something on it or it is going to get dirty. Tonight I met friends for dinner & we ate on a patio. I kept the LV purse in the chair I was sitting in, behind my back, where I leaned back against it, b/c I didn’t want to put it on the dirty floor. Is this normal?

18. I went to my first fashion show almost a year ago at North Park Mall. It was SO COOL & I can’t wait for fashion week to come back to Dallas so I can go to another one (or two!).

19. I could care less if sports ever existed. I will admit I like going to Mavericks games & I do like going to the Byron Nelson (thanks Lindley for starting me on that!), & an occasional Rangers game. Football is a sport I never learned the rules to, & I think the game is so long it just gets boring. I guess I like sports if I’m there in person & have wiggly nachos to go with it. To watch them on TV is a rarity – except when the Mavs were in the playoffs & finals. (Did I even use the right lingo?) :-/

20. I am so glad I’m now close to my brother & sister. I went from seeing my brother 2 times a year (when he lived in Oklahoma & went to college) to now talking to him often & seeing him often, thanks to his moving to Carrollton, about 20 minutes away! I have to say he’s my partner-in-crime when in Vegas! I am so thankful to have a sister & to be close to her as well! I can now say she’s been a married woman for 1 week & 1 day & we talk on the phone many times a week & we see each other often-whether we meet at our parent’s house for a visit or she comes to Dallas so we can shop together. I enjoy both of their company so much! She’s also a partner-in-crime while in Vegas!

21. I love stupid, slapstick, sarcastic humor.

22. I have started in the scrapbook craze. I bought a ‘starter’ one to do on Chloe & I’m also doing the wedding/bride book for my sis. It’s so fun (but can be so expensive!!). Wow. There’s so many cute stickers, paper, etc. you could buy. When do you draw the line?!?!

23. I loathe cleaning the bathtub & vacuuming. When cleaning my apartment I always put those 2 tasks off & do them last. Mr. L – if you are reading this – don’t go & tell people I never clean & there’s always cat hair everywhere!! J

24. I love to email & text message (& I’m pretty fast at typing both ways, I must admit). These 2 things alone have probably made me a less-personable person.

25. I cannot get enough 80’s music. 80’s retro dance music is #1 to me, & 80’s hair bands are #2. All other 80’s music is great, too!

26. Needles, public speaking, flying, & bugs (especially those huge cockroaches at school!) are 4 things I’m VERY fearful of! It’s that time of year: I’m about to go to my classroom & pull items out of cabinets after they’ve been stored all summer in the heat . . . I know I’m going to see a roach or two in my room. I’ll quickly email Mr. L or call him & hope he gets there to save me. If not, I will run & look for my Neighba. You may think it’s weird I listed public speaking as a phobia since I’m a teacher, but I do not ever feel comfortable speaking in front of my peers at school!

27. Are you wondering who/what Neighba is? She’s the custodian at Bowie, who is around 64, who goes to dinner/happy hour with Mr. L & me about once a month. She & I call each other “Neighba” b/c she lives about 4 exits down the Tollway from me. “Neighba” is the equivalent of “neighbor”. She will have Mr. L & me lol so much, we’ll have tears in our eyes! She gets to telling a story & the Ebonics come out & I just laugh at her & never talk, she is so entertaining! J There is never a dull moment with her! I always look forward to time with her.

28. My favorite snack (sometimes dinner!) is chips & salsa. Twice this week I’ve made salsa!

29. A nervous habit I have is biting my lips.

30. I feel guilty that I am not more involved in church. It’s hard for me to go by myself, but I need to!

31. I miss my Mema so much & it is still so hard to see Pepa living alone.

32. I always name my cars. I’ve only had 3 in life, but they’ve always had names, & I’ve encouraged my friends to name theirs as well! My high school/college car was a red Fiero. Her name was “Hot Lips”. Then with my first ‘real world’ job I bought a white Civic, which was named “Vanity”. Now I’m driving an Accord. Her name is “Slim Shady”. I’m pretty sure that makes me gangsta. Or really white.

33. I don’t like ice cream. It hurts my teeth.

34. I don’t know what I’d do if I didn’t have a TiVo (actually, I have 2!).

35. Ideally, I would like to go to Vegas with my brother & sister every summer & stay in a different hotel each time, seeing a different Cirque show each time. Some may (& do!) say I need to try new places. I tell them I’m trying new hotels in Vegas! Duh!

36. My last time in Vegas, on two different occasions, I put a $20 in a slot machine. I really thought I’d be so lucky on my first time gambling. I instead was just sad that I lost $40, all to push a button over & over. I don’t get how people can sit there for hours & do that. What a waste.
37. Most drivers on the road annoy me. I’m not saying I’m perfect, but I think I’m close! I am always aware of other drivers & am always watching for the other idiots around me. People who don’t use blinkers drive me insane.

38. I like washing dishes.

39. I love sleeping on fresh, clean sheets that still smell of laundry detergent.

40. When in traffic, if someone lets me into their lane in front of them, when giving the courtesy wave, I always use a high-pitched voice & say “thanks!” as I wave (as if they can hear me).

41. I don’t like my handwriting & am always trying to change it.

42. I have a crush on Justin Timberlake.

43. I think my family is so great & my parents have a great love for each other that I hope I will have one day.

44. I’m more of an introverted person. Maybe just shy, or both. (Those are 2 different things, right?)

45. Here’s a Bible verse I like: Jeremiah 29:11 says, "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." I think if anyone is having a hard time in life, this should relax them & give them the will to let God take over. (PS – I copied this from Lindley’s blog!)

46. I’ve wanted to be a teacher since my first day of Kindergarten. Mainly it was to write on the chalkboard & pass out papers. To this day I tell my kids “no writing on my board – that is one of the fun parts of my job!” J

47. Beverly Hills, 90210 was one of the greatest shows ever! Good job, Aaron Spelling!

48. I can never watch too many episodes of The Golden Girls or The Nanny.

49. Ross was my favorite character on Friends. I loved his facial expressions!

50. I am happy with my body. Unless I am wearing 3” heels. J (I don’t like looking over everyone’s heads).

51. I love to sit & drink wine. I don’t have a favorite wine – very seldom do I taste one I don’t like.

52. Ed Young is a great pastor. He speaks to the single person, uses props to go with his sermon & is easy to understand. The rock concert going on behind him is also awesome!

53. I’m so scared of bad weather – unless someone is with me. If it’s just Chloe & me & it is raining so hard the electricity goes out &/or I hear the tornado sirens go off – I’m freaking out!! If I have another human with me, I’m 60% calmer.

54. I’m not an opinionated person. All of my friends are. Unless they are talking about education, I really don’t feel the need for anyone to hear my opinion if I disagree with them (I really don’t care if they hear my side or not!). Does this go back to my being antisocial??? Yikes.

55. I am a girlie girl.

56. I love for people to play with my hair. It’s SO relaxing!

57. I wish I had more single friends.

58. The Breakfast Club & 16 Candles are two of my most favorite movies.

59. Remember the Titans comes in 3rd.

60. Nothing is better than sitting down with a shaker of salt in one hand & a lemon in the other!

61. The bean dip, salsa, & chips from Gloria’s are the best ever!

62. Wait, the salsa & chips from Chuy’s makes it a tie for best ever!

63. I love queso with meat & guacamole mixed in it.

64. Sex & the City really is the 90’s/2000 version of The Golden Girls.

65. Red & blue are my favorite colors.

66. They were also my high school colors.

67. Who have I had a crush on the longest? Jon Bon Jovi! I had so many posters of him on my wall growing up! (Now I just have 2 posters of JT in my classroom – bought by students & given to me, by the way!)

68. I hate to run.

69. Health was my minor in college, simply b/c I loved all the classes! I don’t use it at all, unfortunately.

70. I love things about the body (Anatomy class in high school was one of my favorites, & Health Emergencies & Epidemiology – it’s a toss up – were my favorites in college).

71. People who have their bass in their car loud to where it vibrates my car or where it interferes with my song on the radio annoy me. Just the fact that I typed this makes me feel really old!

72. I wish Big Brother would come on more than 3 times a week (relax – it’s only on in the summer & there’s no other TV to watch!).

73. I wonder if I’ve repeated any of the above statements. If so, it was on accident!

74. I hate to fix my hair.

75. I’d love to wake up every morning & have a breakfast consisting of eggs, bacon, sausage, & pancakes (made for me, not by me, of course).

76. Put a “19” in front of this number & that was the year I was born.

77. Kimberly Williams Paisley is soooo cute! Remember her from “Father of the Bride”?

78. It is so fun to pick out a new cell phone when I’m eligible for an upgrade!

79. I wish Britney Spears would get help &/or medication & get back to ‘normal’ to make a comeback CD!!

80. My favorite Starbucks drink? Grande Mocha

81. Sometimes when I’m bored, I imagine what I’d be doing in Vegas if I were there at that moment.

82. I still haven’t learned how to use chopsticks.

83. Edamame beans (hot, not cold) are the best!!!

84. When I buy a new cell phone, I read the owner’s manual.

85. I can’t stand smoke & I will never date a smoker.

86. South Park is a hilarious show!

87. I love to be pampered (minus those pedicures!). Give me a massage anyday!

88. I don’t like to be the center of attention.

89. My next pet will probably be named McLovin.

90. Working out with my 10 pound weights in my living room, in front of my TV, isn’t such a bad workout!

91. I wish my face wouldn’t turn red when I got embarrassed or shy (referring to #88 above). How is it that some people claim to be embarrassed over certain things yet I can’t tell because their face isn’t red??? (Miss-I remember you had to put a nice, cool {unlit} candle on your face once in the team room with Coach Prater & me! Do you remember that?)

92. If there’s one habit I try to get into that takes 60 seconds or less that seems to always be my New Year’s Resolution…it’s flossing!

93. I have the ringtone from 24’s CTU on my cell phone.

94. It’s a toss up as to which club was the best ever – Mirage on a Sunday night or Eden 2000/Blue Planet on a Thursday-Saturday night…? They both rocked!

95. I have a pink cell phone.

96. If given the option, I’d never eat nuts in brownies, fudge, or cake.

97. Roasted peanuts are so yummy! (I just don’t like nuts mixed in with food)

98. Kidd Kraddick is such a talented DJ & I am going on my 11th year of listening to him. He (along with Kellie & Big Al) crack me up every morning!

99. Oh my gosh I am almost there! It just took me 2 weeks! Whew. Ok, for #99, I get very annoyed with worksheets (from meetings, or ones that teachers give kids) that have type-o’s, or are very dark on the edges from being copied so many times, etc. I will retype papers before having a messy copy!

100. I DID IT! There’s nothing like a feeling of accomplishment! J (Time to proof-read & spell check…)
