A Weekend with the Family

So my little sis & I went to Graham this weekend to visit the parents, see their kitties, see Pepa, & go to the lake. First off I'd like to say YEA!! There was no rain to ruin our lake trip! :) That is very exciting, considering how much rain has fallen lately! It was great to be out on the lake with my mom & dad. My sis & I sat at the front of the boat & got thrown around when Dad got crazy & drove (?) the boat so fast over some of those big waves. Yes, I am a rebel & I'm crazy. For those of you that know me well (thank you, my fellow 5 committed readers) - you know i'm crazy. I define it. Ok, it's a lie. None of you believed me anyway. Here's a pic of Kim & me as we were making our way back to the dock.
My hair looks good, right? I again was the 1/32nd Choctaw girl & wore a French braid. It's my normal "lake look".

Now to my mom's kittens. Lucky for Kim & me (not!) we get to Graham 1 day after Callie & Casper get declawed. I got there about 3 hours after my mom & dad picked them up from the vet. Now this is a very mean procedure, but it is done to cats often & they soon forget about the pain. Yes, it was so sad to see the kittens meow & sleep & wince in pain when they walked. I have a pic of Callie kind of looking like a kangaroo, standing on her back legs. It's all just so sad. They just wanted to be held & not put down (understandably!).

Isn't she a cutie?? Anyway-imagine my mom focusing only on her 2 kittens & not on her 2 human daughters in town! I wasn't that concerned (I'm pretty sure deep down my mom loves me more than those cats!) except when a cat meowed while I was getting my hair braided & mom finished in about 5 seconds so she could run & pick up a cat again to comfort it (as my hair immediately started already falling out!). Kim wasn't so understanding. I tried explaining to her that she is now a middle child so she should get used to it & stop acting like the baby of the family. It's all in good fun. Today, 2 days after the surgery, the cats were a LOT better. Dad took off their bandages & they were walking like it was no big deal! :) Yea!! Below is a pic of Casper, Callie's brother. They are both just so little (I think mom said they are 15 weeks old) & so cute!

See? My lil sis can be loving & understanding! ;-)

So...for all you Big Brother fans out there (Lindley)...what do you think of Jen? "Bluck" is what I have to say! Do you ever read or make comments on the message board? I don't. I mean, I haven't today. I mean...yesterday or the day before I didn't. Whew!

I'm now officially jobless for the rest of the summer. Tomorrow I'm going to start on my first scrapbook! I'm pretty excited about it. It is going to be all about my #1 girl, the Chlo-meister! I'm also going to go shopping for clothes for Vegas. My summer vacation (I mean, my sis' wedding) is fast approaching! I'll also continue to go to Yoga 2 times a week.

I'm out of ideas to write about, but hope you were entertained with this post. I'll write more as I do more in life (haha).

I sure was about to get on your case, as you did mine earlier this summer. I posted 3 times before you posted again. Thank goodness for a new and hilarious blog! Goodjob Miss!! I loved seeing your sissy and the cats too. Yes, even though I'm a dog lover (not cats)--they were cute! Not as cute as Chloe don't worry!

Oh, and I agree with your "bluck" to Jen on Big Brother. I'm not a fan of hers--and that's putting it mildly!!! I think the counselor in me makes me feel really sorry for her, but I'm ready to see her go!
